Ingredients
- 4 pork chops boneless (1.76 lb | 800 g)
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce make sure it's gluten free, if you're gluten free
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or avocado oil
- 1 yellow bell pepper cut in cubes (4.23 oz | 120g)
Honey Ginger Sauce
- ¼ cup honey 2.02 fluid oz | 60 ml
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger see notes about using ground
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Optional Garnishes
- green onion
- red chili flakes
Instructions
Crispy Pork
- Cut pork chops in 1.5 inch pieces and season with salt, pepper, red chili flakes and soy sauce. - Heat oil in a pan on medium high heat. Fry pork on each side until brown and is no longer pink inside. Make the honey ginger sauce as the pork is cooking.2 tablespoons vegetable oil or avocado oil
- Turn the heat to medium and add the bell pepper. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.1 yellow bell pepper
Honey Ginger Sauce
- In a medium bowl, add all the ingredients. Pour on the pork and bell pepper. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.¼ cup honey, 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- Remove from heat and garnish with green onion and chili flakes. Serve and enjoy!green onion, red chili flakes
Notes
Tip: When cutting the pork into bite-sized pieces, try to maintain uniformity in size. This ensures even cooking throughout the pieces.
Can I use ground ginger instead? You can substitute fresh ginger with ground ginger, but note that the flavor might be slightly different. Use about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of ground ginger for every tablespoon of fresh ginger called for.
